Jimmy Walker is a Physician Assistant who specializes in caring for orthopedic and other surgical-type patients. He joins our team after having spent the last several years on the Wasatch front providing care to orthopedic as well as rehabilitative patients. He earned his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona where he completed clinical rotations in internal medicine, family medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, women’s health and psychiatry. He also gained 6 months of experience in orthopedic surgery.
Jimmy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He then continued his studies in Exercise Physiology at the same institution, where he also served as a graduate teaching assistant, a graduate research assistant, and an anatomy lab instructor. Jimmy has had a number of his abstracts published in professional clinical journals.
He is a member of the Utah Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery.
Jimmy grew up in Eastern Oregon on a farm. He and his wife Brooke are parents to 4 boys that keep them super busy. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching his kids play sports, mountain biking, and anything else that keeps him active and outside.
